Mando Fresko is a Mexican-American entrepreneur, brand ambassador and media personality born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His passion for music started at an early age and transpired to his teenage years when he fell in love with hip-hop culture. In high school, Mando participated in talent shows and DJ’ed his school dances. As a freshman in college he launched a campus radio show and soon after, at only 18 years old, Mando received his start at the nation’s biggest hip-hop station, Power 106. He began in promotions but quickly became the youngest on-air radio personality in station history with ‘The Mando Fresko Show.’
Mando also became a part of the MTV family as a host for MTV Tr3s, a bilingual music network, and subsequently hosted his own show, “What’s Good?” with MTV2.
In 2019, Fresko launched Cali 93.9’s first ever morning show, Cali Mornings. His radio show reached millions of listeners daily — and his social media channels are a powerhouse. Mando’s online site, mandofresko.com, receives over 250,000 monthly impressions and over 10.2 million views on his YouTube channel.
Aside from his expansive television, radio and social media following, his relationships with prestige millennial brands range from Red Bull, Facebook, MLS and Jordan brand. In 2015, Mando was invited to visit the home of Hennessy in Cognac, France where he learned all about the making of cognac. With Nike, he has not only hosted their events but also partnered with the brand to give back to local communities by developing school fundraisers in Los Angeles and Orange County. Also, Mando has created campaigns with AT&T, Delta, Pepsi and is currently endorsed by Kia Automotive.
Most recently, Mando Fresko was featured on Forbes’ “Get Paid to Be Yourself,” where he inspires fans with his success story on how he founded and branded his very own media company, Hubwav Media. He states that Hubwav is not just a company, it’s a family.” This statement is just one of many that truly describes Mando.
In early 2020, he was awarded the Key to the City by his hometown of South Gate in California for his involvement and work in the local communities. He was also honored as the Grand Marshal of the city's yearly holiday parade.
One of his latest projects is the launch of the Fresko Foundation, a non-profit organization. The foundation is focused on mentorship, personal development and creating opportunities for inner city youth. Mando uses his knowledge in the industry to motivate and help build confident young adults.
